For 30-some years now, folks have come to know that you can find great Bluegrass music at the Old Lucketts Schoolhouse.
On any given Saturday from October through April, fiddles and banjos ring and you can hear the distinctive Bluegrass guitar pickin’ and vocal harmonies that remind us of our rural American heritage.
Bluegrass nights at the Schoolhouse have helped keep old community ties strong while also bringing new friends to Lucketts.
The Lucketts Bluegrass Series (one of the longest running bluegrass series in the country), is run primarily by volunteers who make up the Lucketts Bluegrass Foundation. Most of the ticket revenues are paid directly to the bands to promote and preserve this rural-American art-form.
